The New Delhi Municipal Council is expanding its mist sprayer system to Connaught Place and Khan Market to tackle air pollution, following successful installations on Lodhi Road, Shanti Path, and Africa Avenue.
The pole-mounted sprayers, using treated water and releasing fine droplets to suppress dust and pollutants, are part of a broader campaign involving GPS-enabled sweepers, anti-smog guns, and water conservation efforts.
The second phase includes 62 sprayers across 1,750 meters, with a third phase planned for 24 major roads at an estimated cost of ₹15 crore.
The initiative supports Delhi’s air quality improvement and aligns with the national ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’ vision.
