A new performance titled Pisuwin, blending classical ballet, Indigenous storytelling, and modern technology, will premiere at Chilliwack’s Cultural Centre on November 10, 2025. Created by Igor Dobrovolskiy and Nipahtuwet Naka Wespahtuwet Paul, it draws on a traditional Wolastoq tale to explore themes of imbalance and healing. Featuring eight dancers, electronic music by Juno and Polaris Prize winner Jeremy Dutcher, digital projections, and visuals inspired by Wolastoqiyik culture, the production merges industrial and spiritual imagery.
