JD(U) expelled 11 leaders for anti-party actions ahead of Bihar’s Nov. 6-11 assembly elections.
The Janata Dal (United) expelled 11 leaders, including former ministers and MLAs, for anti-party activities ahead of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, citing violations of party ideology and discipline.
The move, announced by state general secretary Chandan Kumar Singh, also suspended their primary membership.
Among those expelled were Shailesh Kumar, Shyam Bahadur Singh, and Sudharshan Kumar.
The elections, set for two phases on November 6 and 11 with results on November 14, will see the NDA coalition led by JD(U) and BJP face the Mahagathbandhan alliance.
Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party plans to contest all 243 seats.
