China’s installed power capacity reached 3.72 billion kilowatts by September 2025, a 17.5% increase from a year earlier, with solar capacity rising 45.7% to 1.13 billion kilowatts and wind capacity growing 21.3% to nearly 582 million kilowatts.
Power sector investments totaled 598.7 billion yuan ($84.4 billion) in the first nine months, up 0.6% from 2024, while grid infrastructure investment rose 9.9% to 437.8 billion yuan.
