BJP dismisses Rahul Gandhi’s vote theft claims as baseless, citing lack of evidence and opposition’s strong electoral performance.
BJP spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill dismissed Rahul Gandhi’s "vote-chori" claims as baseless, saying they lack credibility and resonance beyond Gandhi’s circle.
In a podcast, Shergill accused Gandhi of promoting a foreign-influenced extreme left ideology, likening Congress to the banned CPI (Maoist), and criticized his foreign trips as signs of desperation.
He highlighted Gandhi’s failure to file an oath-affidavit on the allegations despite Supreme Court reprimands.
Shergill pointed to Bihar’s SIR exercise, which removed 69.8 lakh voters due to migration and duplication, noting no complaints were filed by Gandhi or allies.
He argued that if vote theft were real, the BJP would have won far more seats and Congress would have collapsed—neither occurred, as the opposition secured a record 41.9% vote share and Congress won 99 seats.
Shergill called the allegations a tactic to evade accountability and warned they harm Indian democracy.
El BJP desestima los reclamos de robo de votos de Rahul Gandhi como infundados, citando la falta de evidencia y el fuerte desempeño electoral de la oposición.
