A 24-year-old woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a crash in Melville killed a male e-bike rider early Saturday morning.
Police say Jennifer Kirkpatrick, driving a 2018 Subaru Forester, struck the e-bike rider while turning left onto Express Drive South around 1:06 a.m.
The victim, whose identity is pending family notification, was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Kirkpatrick was taken to a hospital for minor injuries before being held in custody.
Additional charges may be filed.
