Viking-Cives seeks Grey County approval to expand its Mount Forest plant with a new building and 448 truck spots, relocating Yardistry to a nearby site.
Viking-Cives, a Mount Forest, Ontario snowplow manufacturer, is seeking Grey County approval to expand its operations with a 3,900 square meter building on 7.6 hectares, including space for a future expansion and 448 truck staging spots.
The project also involves relocating Yardistry, a maker of outdoor structures, to a nearby 2.5-hectare site with a 4,645 square meter building.
The development would rezone rural and hazard lands to an industrial zone, expanding it by about 10 hectares, though no construction is planned on hazard lands.
A public meeting will be held, and additional approvals—including a zoning bylaw update and site plan control—are required before construction begins.
