Over 46,000 passengers are expected at Shannon Airport this October Bank Holiday weekend, a 9% increase from last year, driven by strong demand and the launch of its winter schedule.
The airport introduced three new Ryanair routes, including inaugural flights to Lapland and Madrid, and a year-round service to Madeira.
Six existing routes saw increased frequencies, with over 220 weekly flights now serving 24 destinations, including Aer Lingus flights to New York, Boston, and Paris, and Ryanair services to Lanzarote, Liverpool, Malaga, and Manchester.
Airport officials cite consistent growth and traveler confidence, following a 16% rise in summer passenger traffic.
