Samsung’s One UI 8.5 may let users manually prioritize app alerts using on-device AI, with a beta expected in November 2025.
Samsung’s upcoming One UI 8.5 update may introduce a new notification priority feature allowing users to manually designate specific apps for elevated alerts, ensuring important messages appear at the top of the notification shade.
The feature, spotted in a leaked firmware build, could use on-device AI to learn user habits and prioritize critical alerts like work emails or personal messages without relying on cloud processing.
While similar to Apple’s iOS 18.4 prioritization, Samsung’s version does not currently include contact-based filtering.
The update, based on Android 16, is expected with the Galaxy S26 in early 2026, with a beta possibly launching in November.
