Nigeria Customs Service intercepted two containers at Tin Can Island Port in September and October 2025, uncovering over 1,170 kilograms of cannabis and nearly 10 kilograms of methamphetamine hidden in imported vehicles, with a combined street value of about ₦5.3 billion. A separate operation on October 17 seized 25 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine along the Gbaji–Seme Road, leading to the arrest of suspect Uduak Monday. All drugs were handed over to the NDLEA for prosecution.
