Nathan Johnson sentenced to 7–10.5 years for home invasion, assault, and burglary targeting Ohio lawmaker’s family.
Nathan A. Johnson was sentenced to 7 to 10½ years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated burglary, felonious assault, and burglary in connection with a July 15 home invasion in New Waterford, Ohio.
The attack targeted the home of state Representative Monica Robb Blasdel and her husband, Judge Carol Robb, during which Johnson assaulted her husband, broke in while an 8-year-old child was inside, and later entered a neighboring home with another child present.
He stole a phone and was ordered to pay $1,776 in restitution and is barred from owning firearms.
Prosecutors said victims accepted the plea deal, which dismissed additional charges.
Johnson apologized, expressing remorse, and his family cited personal struggles including chronic pain and grief.
His sentence may be extended by up to 3½ years based on prison behavior.
