Miss USA renamed its Congeniality Award to honor Chelsi Smith, with Audrey Eckert crowned Miss USA 2025.
The Miss USA organization renamed the Miss Congeniality Award the Chelsi Smith Congeniality Award during the 74th annual pageant on October 24, 2025, honoring the late Chelsi Smith, who won Miss USA and Miss Universe in 1995.
Smith, the first American woman in 15 years to win Miss Universe and the only Texan to win both titles, passed away in 2018 at age 45 after battling liver cancer.
The award was presented to Miss Delaware, Tetra Shaylice Shockley.
Audrey Eckert of Nebraska was crowned Miss USA 2025, with Ivy Harrington of New Jersey as first runner-up.
The event took place in Reno, Nevada, without the traditional crown passing, as outgoing titleholder Alma Cooper did not attend due to personal reasons.
