Jake Winter’s artisan jam brand, Wild and Fruitful, now supplies Parliament, marking a major milestone for regional British craftsmanship.

Lake District jam maker Jake Winter, co-owner of Wild and Fruitful, has secured a major milestone by supplying his small-batch, 100% natural preserves to the Houses of Parliament. Started as a hobby inspired by his late grandmother’s recipes and initially sold to guests at his parents’ Keswick guesthouse, the business now employs 12 people and supplies around 300 retailers nationwide. Using traditional methods and locally sourced ingredients like chillies from the Lingholm Estate and strawberries from south of Carlisle, Wild and Fruitful’s products—including Chilli Jam and Strawberry and Rose Petal Jam—are now available in Parliament’s shops. The achievement, highlighted after Jake’s presentation at the Parliamentary Christmas Fair, marks a significant recognition of regional British craftsmanship and local pride.
