India's Noida International Airport nears completion, set to open in December 2025 with one runway, 12 million annual passengers, and plans for expansion.
The Noida International Airport in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, is nearing completion ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s expected inauguration, with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath overseeing final preparations.
Set to open in December 2025, the airport will begin operations with one runway, handling 12 million passengers annually, and expand to five runways in the future.
Developed under a public-private partnership, it spans 3,300 acres with 6,700 acres acquired, and is projected to generate 100,000 jobs, boost tourism and exports, and contribute 2–3% to the state’s GDP.
The project, costing Rs 7,000 crore in construction and Rs 5,000 crore in land acquisition, will make Uttar Pradesh the only Indian state with five international airports.
