India launches Rs 750 crore MAHA-MedTech Mission to fund affordable medical tech innovations for tuberculosis, cancer, and neonatal care.
The Anusandhan National Research Foundation, with ICMR and the Gates Foundation, has launched the MAHA-MedTech Mission, a five-year, Rs 750 crore initiative to boost India’s medical technology innovation.
It will fund up to 50 projects with milestone-based grants of Rs 5 crore to Rs 50 crore, supporting startups, institutions, and hospitals.
Priority is given to affordable innovations in devices, diagnostics, implants, and software addressing tuberculosis, cancer, and neonatal care.
The mission offers non-financial support through patent, regulatory, clinical trial, and mentorship programs.
Concept notes are due by November 7, with full proposals to be submitted in December 2025.
