The government launched a month-long campaign to expand loan access for street vendors under the PM SVANidhi Scheme, aiming to support 1.15 crore vendors by 2030.
Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar chaired a review meeting on the PM SVANidhi Scheme, reaffirming the government’s commitment to expanding financial support for street vendors.
The meeting, attended by officials from 33 states and UTs and banking leaders, focused on accelerating loan disbursements, improving vendor identification, and enhancing digital onboarding.
A month-long national campaign, 'SVANidhi Sankalp Abhiyaan', will run from November 3 to December 2, 2025, to boost outreach and application processing.
The government aims to support over 1.15 crore vendors nationwide by March 2030, including 50 lakh new beneficiaries, with a focus on credit building, hygiene training, and strengthening collaboration between states, banks, and urban local bodies.
