David Donovan and his family have turned their Banstead home into a pirate-themed Halloween attraction for five years, using recycled materials from his roofing work to build a skeleton ship. The event, held on Halloween night with a possible second night, features games like a hook-a-duck activity and beanbag toss run by his eight-year-old twin daughters. It raises funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, with last year’s turnout exceeding 600 people and nearly £1,500 raised. Donations are accepted in person or via GoFundMe.
