Yostin Mosquera sentenced to life in prison for premeditated, brutal murders of two men in London.
Yostin Andres Mosquera, 35, was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 42 years for the premeditated murders of two men, Albert Alfonso, 62, and Paul Longworth, 71, in their London flat on July 8, 2024.
Authorities say Mosquera decapitated and dismembered the victims, froze parts of their remains, and transported others in suitcases to Bristol’s Clifton Suspension Bridge.
The case, described as one of the most traumatic investigations in UK policing history, involved extensive review of surveillance footage and revealed Mosquera had planned the crimes in advance, including purchasing a freezer and researching fatal injuries.
The victims, who had a long-term, loving relationship, had welcomed Mosquera into their home.
Police emphasized his lack of remorse and the calculated nature of the crimes, with Avon and Somerset Police and an LGBT+ advisory group assisting in the investigation.
Justice was deemed served for the victims and their families.
