A U.S. Air Force Skyraider II crashed in Oklahoma City during training, killing one crew member; cause is under investigation.
A U.S. Air Force OA-1K Skyraider II, operated by the 492d Special Operations Wing at Will Rogers Air National Guard Base, crashed in a field in Oklahoma City on Thursday afternoon during a training mission.
The aircraft, carrying one civilian contractor and one active-duty Air Force member, experienced engine failure, struck power lines, knocked down poles, and sparked a grass fire.
Both crew members escaped unharmed.
Emergency crews responded quickly, and the fire was extinguished.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
