Two suspects arrested in Memphis after U-Haul linked to up to a dozen burglaries crashed during a police chase.
Two suspects were arrested Friday morning in Memphis after a U-Haul linked to multiple apartment burglaries crashed during a police chase in the Orange Mound neighborhood. Officers were alerted around 4 a.m. about the vehicle leaving Pendleton Court Apartments under suspicious circumstances. The U-Haul fled, leading to a pursuit that ended when it hit a stop sign pole on Deadrick Avenue. One suspect exited the vehicle during the chase. Both occupants were taken into custody; a third suspect remains at large. Police believe up to a dozen units were burglarized, and one suspect sustained a non-life-threatening head injury not caused by the crash. The police vehicle involved sustained minimal damage. The investigation is ongoing.
