In 2024, seventh graders at South Grenville Middle School launched Giants Ink, a student-run custom apparel business as part of a real-world learning program.
The initiative, which produces shirts, decals, and stickers, has secured contracts with local groups and businesses, including a recent project for the Spencerville Kraft Hockeyville campaign.
With funding from the school board, students acquired a professional printer to improve quality.
Now in eighth grade, the founding team continues operating the business after school, donating 10% of profits to a youth support group and training incoming students to ensure sustainability.
The project has provided hands-on experience in design, marketing, budgeting, and customer service.
