A rare Spotless Baron butterfly was photographed in Dzongu, North Sikkim, marking its first confirmed sighting in the region in five years, according to conservationist Sonam Wangchuk Lepcha.
The elusive species, distinguished by its lack of white spots, was last seen in Sikkim in October 2019, reinforcing Dzongu’s importance as a biodiversity hotspot.
