Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chip boosts performance and features in budget and mid-range phones.

Qualcomm has launched the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, a mid-tier chipset built on TSMC’s 4nm process, offering 36% faster CPU performance and 59% improved GPU speed over its predecessor. It features four 2.4GHz performance cores and four 1.8GHz efficiency cores, supports 5G (mmWave and sub-6GHz), Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and triple-frequency GNSS for precise navigation. The chip enables FHD+ displays at 144Hz, 2K video recording, and up to 200MP camera support with advanced low-light processing. It also includes Snapdragon Sound, Quick Charge 4+, and compatibility with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The processor is set for use in upcoming budget and mid-range smartphones from brands including Nothing, Redmi, Motorola, Honor, and Realme.
