O2 is increasing mid-contract prices for new and renewing customers by £2.50 monthly starting April 2026, up from £1.80, due to rising data demand. Data-only and smartwatch users face a 75p rise. Handset repayment plans remain frozen, and £700 million is being invested in network upgrades. Social tariff customers are exempt. Similar hikes are underway across other UK providers.
