India’s Border Roads Organisation marks 18 years of road building in Arunachal Pradesh, completing 696 km of roads and key bridges.
On October 24, 2025, Project Arunank of India’s Border Roads Organisation celebrated its 18th Raising Day, highlighting 17 years of infrastructure progress in Arunachal Pradesh.
The project has built over 696 km of roads and 1.18 km of major bridges, including the first blacktopped road in the region since Independence—the 278-km Hapoli-Sarli-Huri Road—upgraded to national highway standards.
Key achievements include double-laning the Kimin-Potin Road, completing the TCC-Maza Road in 2022, and ongoing work on the Huri-Tapa and Taksing Ghora Camp-Lung OP roads, expected by year-end.
Sustainable technologies like steel slag and plastic-reinforced concrete were used, and a motorable expedition promoted road safety.
New welfare initiatives for casual laborers—shelters, protective gear, and health camps—were launched.
