Darryl Lee Jr., 19, of Kankakee, was charged with eleven felony counts, including first-degree murder, in connection with a fatal stabbing at a Chick-fil-A in Oswego, Illinois, on October 22, 2025. Police say Lee broke in around 3:10 a.m., attacked 52-year-old delivery driver Tracey J. Land with a hammer and knife, killing him, then cleaned the scene. Around 5 a.m., he stabbed a 20-year-old maintenance worker, who was subdued by his mother and another worker. The victim is stable. Lee, who had prior contact with police in September, is held at Kendall County Jail and is set for a hearing on October 24. The investigation is ongoing.
