357,000 curling irons are recalled due to burn hazard from detachable barrels.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling about 357,000 Bio Ionic one-inch long barrel curling irons due to a burn hazard, as the barrel can detach during use. The affected models, sold from August 2022 to July 2024 at retailers including Ulta, Sephora, Nordstrom, Amazon, and Salon Centric, have model number LXT-CL-1.0 and date codes 0722 to 1223. The CPSC reports 258 incidents of barrel detachment and six burn injuries. Consumers should stop using the device, unplug it, and return the plug via a prepaid label to receive a free replacement. Contact Bio Ionic at 877-853-9624 or visit their website for details.
