Chinese Premier Li Qiang is visiting Singapore from October 25 to 26, 2025, marking his first trip to the country and coinciding with the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
The two-day visit, invited by Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, includes bilateral talks, signing of MOUs on green development and digital economy, and participation in a business roundtable.
The trip follows Wong’s June 2025 visit to China and precedes Li’s attendance at the ASEAN summit in Kuala Lumpur, where discussions are expected to focus on economic cooperation, emerging technologies, and regional stability amid U.S.-China tensions.
China remains Singapore’s largest merchandise trading partner and top foreign investor, with bilateral trade reaching S$170 billion in 2024.
