Bethesda Community Services in Vineland opened a new 40-square-meter all-season greenhouse, funded by a $75,000 grant from Meridian Credit Union, expanding its gardening program for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
The year-round facility allows participants to grow produce like tomatoes, kale, and herbs, boosting their confidence and well-being while fostering friendships.
Since the program began three years ago, over 318 kilograms of harvested food have been donated to a local food bank.
