Two Greazy Dogs MC members fined for unlicensed raffle raising $49,500 without proper gambling license.
Two members of the Greazy Dogs MC, Maurice Walker and Jesse Fisher, were fined for running an unlicensed raffle offering a motorcycle and up to $10,000 in cash without a Class 3 gambling licence.
The raffle, promoted on Facebook from December 2023 to March 2024, raised about $49,500 through $50 tickets, with proceeds intended for a children’s trip to Rainbow’s End.
Authorities found bank deposits, cash, and records at their homes, indicating a potential $29,500 profit.
Though they claimed the funds were for charity, the court ruled such gambling requires a licensed society and cannot benefit individuals.
Both pleaded guilty to three charges, and all money was returned to ticket buyers.
