Starting Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, CTA service on the Brown, Green, Orange, and Pink lines will be suspended on elevated tracks in Chicago’s Loop due to critical maintenance at the Tower 18 junction, affecting all Loop elevated stations from 4 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday.
The Red and Blue lines will operate normally.
Free shuttle buses will connect affected lines, with reroutes for the Pink Line to the Racine Blue Line station and shuttles between Roosevelt and Clinton for Green and Orange Line riders, and between Merchandise Mart and H.W.
Library for Brown Line passengers.
The work includes track switching replacements, platform repairs, and safety upgrades.
Riders are urged to plan ahead, expect delays, and consider alternative transit options.
