Saudi Arabia will host a new ATP Masters 1000 tennis tournament starting as early as 2028, the ATP Tour and SURJ announced. The non-mandatory, one-week event will feature a 56-player draw and is set for February, aligning with tournaments in Doha and Dubai. This makes Saudi Arabia the 10th host of an ATP Masters 1000 event, joining cities like Indian Wells and Madrid. The move follows the kingdom’s existing hosting of the WTA Finals in Riyadh and the Next Gen ATP Finals in Jeddah, underscoring its growing role in global tennis.
