Pakistani customs seized Indian goods falsely labeled as from China, UAE, or Türkiye.
Pakistani customs officials have intercepted several shipments falsely declared as originating from China, the UAE, and Türkiye, but found to contain Indian-made goods with visible "Made in India" labels.
The seized items, including textile machinery, power distribution units, and garnet mesh, were valued between $550 and $87,000.
In multiple cases, manufacturers’ plates were altered or removed, yet Indian markings remained.
The seizures occurred at Karachi’s international container terminal and off-dock facilities, part of a broader enforcement effort by the Federal Board of Revenue and Customs Appraisement Collectorate (West) to combat misdeclaration, protect domestic industries, and uphold trade regulations.
