Nokia’s North American AI and cloud infrastructure sales surged 28% year-over-year, boosting its Optical Networks segment and prompting a higher full-year profit outlook.
Nokia reported a 28% year-over-year surge in network infrastructure sales to AI and cloud customers in North America, driving strong growth in its Optical Networks segment.
Total sales reached 4.83 billion euros, exceeding forecasts, while comparable net profit declined 8.2% to 323 million euros.
Despite a drop in operating profit to 435 million euros, Nokia raised its full-year operating profit outlook to 1.7–2.2 billion euros due to a change in accounting for venture fund gains.
AI and cloud clients accounted for 6% of group sales and 14% of infrastructure revenue.
The company also announced plans for a new semiconductor facility in San Jose and a data center partnership with Nscale.
