A new 4,000-seat music venue broke ground in Portland’s Lloyd District on October 22, 2025, developed by Monqui Presents and AEG Presents.
Located on the site of the former Nordstrom women’s shoe department, the three-story, 68,000-square-foot venue will host 125 to 150 events annually and create up to 117 jobs.
Set to open in early 2027, it is designed with fan experience, acoustics, and sightlines in mind, drawing inspiration from AEG’s recent projects in Nashville, Boston, and Denver.
The $70 million development marks a key expansion of Portland’s live music scene, with Governor Tina Kotek calling it a catalyst for community growth.
The project comes amid competition with Live Nation’s own venue plans, though Monqui’s Mike Quinn has questioned whether Portland can support two new venues.
