A man was arrested after a high-speed chase, found with drugs, weapons, and cash, and faces nine charges.

A 28-year-old man was arrested in the Hunter Valley after a high-speed police chase following a welfare check in Bellbird on October 22, 2025. Officers pursued him in a hatchback before he fled on foot in Pokolbin and was apprehended. Authorities found knuckledusters, a folding knife, 25 grams of methamphetamine, and cash during a search. He faces nine charges, including drug supply, driving under the influence, possessing a weapon, and resisting police. Denied bail, he remains in custody and is set to appear in Cessnock Local Court on November 5.
