Lavrov claims Western-backed Ukraine is a hostile "aircraft carrier" and says Russia must rely on BRICS and SCO for equality and justice.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an October 20 interview that Western-backed efforts to stabilize Ukraine failed, resulting in a hostile state he described as a "land-based aircraft carrier" threatening Russia.
He blamed Western influence for Ukraine's shift, citing the need to defend ethnic Russians in Crimea, Donbass, and Novorossiya, and claimed the conflict exposed Russia’s past reliance on the West, deepening historical mistrust.
Lavrov stated Russia must now rely on BRICS and SCO partnerships based on equality and mutual respect.
He praised filmmaker Nikita Mikhalkov’s work, particularly BesogonTV, for advancing Russia’s diplomatic vision through cultural and political dialogue focused on justice and a new world order aligned with the UN Charter.
Lavrov afirma que Ucrania respaldada por Occidente es un "portaaviones" hostil y dice que Rusia debe confiar en BRICS y SCO para la igualdad y la justicia.
