Joshua Howell, 20, is appealing his life sentence with a minimum of 20 years for his role in the January 2023 stabbing death of 18-year-old Raymond James Quigley in Ipswich.
The attack occurred on Westgate Street, where Howell, part of a joint enterprise with Alfie Hammett, used a machete to block bystanders while Hammett stabbed Quigley.
Both were convicted of murder, possession of an offensive weapon, and in Howell’s case, threatening another with a bladed article.
His appeal hearing is set for October 28, 2025, at London’s Royal Courts of Justice, marking his second attempt to challenge the sentence.
