JNU will hold student union elections Nov. 4–6, amid concerns over police treatment of protesters.
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) will hold its 2025–26 Students' Union elections on November 4, with results to be announced on November 6.
The process begins October 24 with the release of the tentative voters’ list, followed by nomination filing on October 27 and the final candidate list on October 28.
Campaigning includes school and university general body meetings through October 31, a presidential debate on November 2, and a no-campaign day on November 3.
Voting will occur in two sessions on November 4, with counting starting the same evening.
In the previous election, the Left alliance won three of four central positions, while the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad won one.
