The Art Gallery of Ontario to host major 2026 photography exhibits on Paul McCartney’s early career and Melissa Auf der Maur’s '90s rock years.

The Art Gallery of Ontario will present two major 2026 photography exhibitions spotlighting rock history: “Paul McCartney Photographs 1963–64: Eyes of the Storm” in February, featuring over 250 archival images from the early Beatlemania era, and “Melissa Auf der Maur: My ‘90s Photographs” in June, showcasing behind-the-scenes moments from her time with Hole and the Smashing Pumpkins. Both exhibits run through 2027, with the McCartney show ending June 7, 2026. The AGO also plans other exhibitions, including “Sunday Best” and “The Impressionist Revolution: Monet to Matisse.”
