A UK charity's student competition aims to fund emergency medical services through youth-led fundraising pitches.
The Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance charity has launched 'Flight to Funding,' a Dragons' Den-style competition for students in secondary schools, sixth forms, and colleges, inviting them to pitch fundraising ideas to support the emergency medical service.
The winning team will receive mentorship and resources to execute their event in the 2026 summer term, with finalists presenting in early 2026 and the winner announced at a September 2026 ceremony.
The initiative aims to foster youth leadership and entrepreneurship while supporting a service that responds to about four emergencies daily.
Applications are open now via the charity’s website or by contacting corporate fundraiser Imogen Linham.
The charity depends entirely on public and business donations.
