On October 22, 2025, three Chattanooga-area high school volleyball teams—Baylor, CSAS, and Signal Mountain—lost their first-round state tournament matches in Murfreesboro, falling to the loser’s bracket and now can only compete for third place due to updated rules.
Baylor was swept by Knoxville Catholic, CSAS won the first set but lost the next three, and Signal Mountain was defeated 3-0.

Meanwhile, the Chattanooga Mocs women’s volleyball team extended their winning streak to five, including three five-set victories, and remain second in the Southern Conference with a 6-2 league record.
They host Mercer and ETSU, with both games streamed on ESPN+.
