Tejashwi Yadav pledges permanent jobs, salaries, and benefits for 200,000 Jeevika Didis if INDIA bloc wins Bihar’s 2025 elections.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav announced that if the INDIA bloc wins the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, all 200,000 Jeevika Didis—women community mobilizers—would become permanent government employees with a ₹30,000 monthly salary, receive interest-free loans for two years, and get ₹5 lakh health insurance. He also pledged an additional ₹2,000 monthly allowance, waived loan interest, and promised to make all contractual workers permanent. Yadav unveiled new welfare schemes BETI and MAA, and committed to launching an employment guarantee law within 20 days of forming government. His promises were met with skepticism from opposition leaders who dismissed them as politically motivated.
