The visit, rooted in over 350 years of historical connection and shared anti-apartheid solidarity, highlighted cooperation within BRICS and the Global South, with both nations aiming to boost investment and trade, including through the African Continental Free Trade Area.
Ramaphosa also welcomed Indonesia’s role in G20 processes and invited deeper engagement in regional economic initiatives.
The trip continues in Vietnam and Malaysia, where he will attend the ASEAN Summit as a guest of the chair.
