A rare calico lobster, found off Massachusetts, is on display at Northeastern University for Halloween.

A rare orange and black-spotted "calico" lobster, estimated to occur once in 30 million lobsters, was discovered off Massachusetts and is now on display at Northeastern University's Marine Science Center. The female lobster, caught just in time for Halloween, is drawing public attention due to its vibrant, festive coloring caused by a genetic mutation. Named by the center’s outreach coordinator’s children, the animal is part of educational efforts to highlight marine biodiversity and conservation.
