Punjab has procured 95% of its paddy crop by October 21, 2025, totaling 56.04 lakh metric tonnes, with Patiala district leading in farmer payments and flood-affected Tarn Taran second. Over 4.32 lakh farmers received MSP payments via direct bank transfers, supported by strong coordination between state agencies. Lifting of procured paddy is at 71% of the total, with officials ensuring timely payments and transparency amid challenges like flooding.
