A major private art collection spanning four generations is being unveiled in Berlin for the first time, showcasing around 150 works from the 19th and 20th centuries, including key French artists like Monet, Renoir, Cézanne, Picasso, and Matisse.
Curated by René Scharf and his wife Christiane, the Scharf Collection features pieces from Goya to contemporary artists such as Katharina Grosse and Jasper Johns.
The exhibition at Berlin’s Alte Nationalgalerie runs through February 15, 2026, followed by a showing in Düsseldorf from March to August 2026.
