Prime Minister Modi urges Indians to view sacred Sikh sandals on a national procession ending in Patna Sahib on November 1.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged Indians to visit the 'Jore Sahib'—the sacred sandals of Guru Gobind Singh and Mata Sahib Kaur—during the Guru Charan Yatra, a spiritual procession beginning October 23 from New Delhi.
The relics, preserved for over 300 years by Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri’s family, are on display in New Delhi before the journey to Patna Sahib, passing through major cities including Agra, Lucknow, and Varanasi.
The yatra concludes on November 1 at Takht Sri Patna Sahib, the Guru’s birthplace, where the relics will be permanently enshrined.
The event, marked by religious programs and community gatherings, offers rare access to significant Sikh relics.
