The Portland Trail Blazers exercised team options on Scoot Henderson, Kris Murray, and Donovan Clingan through 2026-27.
The Portland Trail Blazers have secured guard Scoot Henderson, forward Kris Murray, and center Donovan Clingan through 2026-27 by exercising team options on their rookie contracts. The moves follow the signing of Shaedon Sharpe and Toumani Camara to multi-year extensions. Henderson, recovering from a hamstring injury, averaged 12.7 points and 5.1 assists last season. Murray contributed 4.2 points and 2.6 rebounds in limited minutes, while Clingan posted 6.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks as a rookie. Camara, a defensive standout, averaged 11.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.5 steals, earning All-Defensive Second Team honors. Sharpe averaged 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists. Blazers coach Chauncey Billups said the extensions reduce player stress. Portland opens the 2025-26 season Wednesday against Minnesota, with Sharpe, Camara, Clingan, Jrue Holiday, and Deni Avdija starting.
