Oxford Bus Company’s profits fell 97% to £57,000 in the year ending 2024, mainly due to £31 million in investments for 159 new electric buses and infrastructure as part of a larger £82.5 million green initiative with Oxfordshire County Council and Stagecoach.

The company added 60 staff, reaching 558 employees, and acquired Pearces Coaches.
Revenue dropped from £62 million to £48.2 million, partly due to a longer prior period.
Despite the financial dip, service expansions, including airport links and university routes, and recovering passenger numbers were noted.
